A group of 30 Extension functionary participants comprised of 10 each from Liberia, Malawi & Kenya visited Amul on February 16th, 2013 for an exposure visit to learn about the new initiatives of research and development and the technology transfer process carried out by Amul. The visit was scheduled as a part of New agriculture partnership, the “Evergreen Revolution” between India and the U.S. during the visit of President Barack Obama to India in November 2010. The group was accompanied by Dr. S. Senthil Vinayagam, Director- Agri Extn. & Shri Girijesh Joshi, APRO, National Institute of Agricultural Extension Management (MANAGE), An Organization of Ministry of Agriculture, Government of India, Hyderabad.

Impressions:

Amul shows the way to people’s participation, management and technology in addressing their problems. This visit will go a long way to inspire us in our extension activities and help in finding solutions to our problems.
