The ceremony was inaugurated by Shri Shabhesinh Parmar, Chairman, Amul Dairy, in the esteemed presence of Shri Vijaybhai Patel, Vice Chairman, Board Members of Amul Dairy, Shri Mansinh Chauhan, MLA, Balasinor, Smt. Muktiben Joshi, Pradesh Mantri, BJP Gujarat Pradesh, Dr. Amit Vyas, MD Amul Dairy, local dignitaries, over 2,500 milk producers, and Amul employees, reaffirming the cooperative's shared vision of building a stronger and more prosperous future for dairy farmers. The integrated development complex will house a state-of-the-art veterinary center, a scientifically managed calf rearing facility with a capacity of 300 calves, a training center for 200 farmers and professionals, an advanced embryo transfer laboratory, high-quality breeding center, TMR station, biogas plant, & residential facilities for 16 veterinary professionals. Designed with a singular focus on improving farmers' incomes, the center will deliver comprehensive veterinary services including disease diagnosis and treatment, preventive healthcare, vaccination, artificial insemination, affordable sexed semen technology, scientific livestock management, and modern dairy advisory services. Through advanced embryo transfer and scientific breeding programmes, Amul aims to develop superior dairy animals with the long-term potential of producing up to 45 liters of milk per day, ensuring healthier, stronger, and more productive future generations of livestock. Beyond strengthening animal healthcare, the project will create a significant positive impact on the rural economy. The facility will procure approximately 700 tones of cattle fodder annually from local farmers, generating additional income opportunities while creating new employment in the region. Farmer-friendly livestock purchase schemes, with repayments linked directly to milk payments, will further improve access to quality dairy animals. Virpur, one of the leading milk procurement centers in Mahisagar district, marks the beginning of a larger vision. Amul plans to establish similar advanced veterinary and livestock development centers across every taluka of Anand & Kheda districts, bringing modern dairy technologies and scientific animal care closer to milk producers.
