Under the visionary 'Sahkar Manthan' initiative, a high-level delegation visited Amul Dairy, Anand, yesterday, reflecting the true spirit of cooperative excellence and inter-state collaboration. The distinguished delegation was led by Shri Ravinder Indraj Singh, Hon’ble Minister of Social Welfare, SC & ST Welfare, Cooperative, and Election, Delhi Government, and Shri Babasaheb Mohanrao Patil, Hon’ble Minister of Co-operation, Government Of Maharashtra., accompanied by Senior Central and State Secretaries, and 35 eminent dignitaries representing 18 States and Union Territories. The delegation was warmly welcomed by Dr. Amit Vyas, Managing Director, Amul Dairy; Shri Himanshu Rathod, AGM, Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (Amul); Shri Abhishek Suva, District Registrar, Co-operative Societies, Anand, Gujarat; Shri K. D. Gojiya, Head – ADMN & HR, AmulFed Dairy; along with senior officials of Amul Dairy. Dr. Amit Vyas and Shri Himanshu Rathod presented Amul’s journey and its initiatives in Artificial Insemination, digitalization, automation, and cooperative-led rural empowerment, all aimed at improving farmer prosperity through technology-driven growth. The delegation was then escorted to state-of-the-art processing facilities, where they observed the advanced infrastructure and operational excellence that define Amul’s dairy operations. They also met Shri Sabhesinh Mangabhai Parmar, Chairman, Amul Dairy, and expressed their gratitude. At the Bovine Breeding Centre (BBC), Mogar, Dr. Vyas showcased the advanced IVF Laboratory, OPU Centre, and Calf Nursery. He elaborated on the cutting-edge IVF technologies being adopted in dairy development and highlighted Amul’s significant achievements over the last five years, including the successful completion of more than 5,000 embryo transfers in cattle and buffalo. He also explained the implementation of digital tagging systems for improved monitoring, traceability, and scientific herd management. The visit continued to the Chocolate Plant at the Tribhuvandas Food Complex, Mogar, where fully automated manufacturing and packaging systems operating seamlessly with minimal human intervention left the delegates highly impressed.
