A distinguished delegation of International Dairy Federation (IDF) Board Members visited Amul Dairy today, led by Mr. Gilles Froment, President, International Dairy Federation, along with Dr. Naveena B. Maheswarappa, Animal Commissioner (AHC), Dept of Animal Husbandry and Dairying, Min of FAHD. The delegation was also accompanied by Dr. Meenesh C Shah, Chairman, National Dairy Development Board. The delegation was warmly received by Dr. Amit Vyas, Managing Director, Amul Dairy, who provided an overview of Amul’s iconic journey and its exemplary growth as a farmer-owned cooperative. The members keenly traced Amul’s historical timeline, understanding how innovation, scale, and farmer-centricity have driven its sustained success. During the plant visit, the delegates witnessed world-class dairy operations, robust quality systems, and advanced digital interventions that enhance efficiency, traceability, and operational excellence across the value chain. The delegation also visited Amul’s state-of-the-art chocolate plant, where they observed the sophisticated manufacturing processes and stringent quality standards followed in chocolate production. The visit concluded with a tasting session, during which the delegates thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated the unmatched taste and superior quality of chocolates produced by Amul Dairy.
