The distinguished delegation of COVAP, led by Mr. Ricardo Jesus Maria Delgado Vizcaino (President), Mr. Antonio Andres Carmona Mora (CEO), Mr. Manuel Blanco Duenas (Dairy Industry Manager), and Mr. Juan Antonio Ballesteros Garcia (Head – Overseas Markets), visited the Dr. Kurien Cheese Plant at Khatraj today and was warmly welcomed by Shri Sandip Rai, Factory Manager, Amul Dairy; Shri Pawan Singh, GM, Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (Amul); Shri Manoranjan Pani, CGM; Shri Rajul Jain, Senior Manager, Amul Dairy, along with the Amul team. During the visit, the delegation toured the cheese manufacturing facility and sampled a wide range of cheeses produced by Amul Dairy. They were highly impressed by the world-class operations and consistent quality standards maintained across the plant. The team remarked that, as observed in other factories of the extraordinary and unique Amul ecosystem, the same level of excellence is evident here, highlighting the strength of the cooperative model that seamlessly integrates the entire dairy value chain, from small milk producers to processing, transformation, and marketing of products such as cheese and other dairy offerings.

Impressions:

The partnership between Amul Dairy, Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (Amul) and COVAP, began with the launch of fresh milk in Spain and the European Union in June last year, has continued to grow stronger. This visit is expected to deepen collaboration further and reinforce the shared commitment to excellence between the two cooperatives.
