MD Amul Dairy Dr. Amit Vyas participated in the Southern Dairy & Food Conclave 2026 (SDFC-26), held from 8–10 January 2026 at the Calicut Trade Centre, Kozhikode. The conclave, organized by Indian Dairy Association, South Zone and hosted by the IDA Kerala Chapter, is an expanded edition of the Southern Dairy Summit and was held in recognition of the legacy of Dr. Verghese Kurien.
Centered on the theme “Transforming Dairy and Food Systems for Global Health,” SDFC-26 brought together industry leaders, academicians, and dairy stakeholders to deliberate on innovation, sustainability, and collaboration across the dairy and food ecosystem.
During the conclave, Dr. Vyas presented on “Strengthening Dairy Operations by Digital Ecosystem,” highlighting how an integrated digital framework is enabling Amul to enhance operational efficiency, governance, transparency, and trust across the dairy value chain. He outlined the impact of real-time digital milk collection, automated quality testing, transparent e-payments, digital livestock management, and integrated processing and supply chain systems in empowering farmers, strengthening village institutions, and ensuring consistent quality and traceability.

Dr. Vyas emphasized that digital transformation at Amul is a strategic imperative that goes beyond automation, reinforcing cooperative values envisioned by Dr. Verghese Kurien, while driving farmer empowerment, food safety, and consumer confidence. He also shared Amul’s forward-looking approach towards responsible adoption of advanced analytics and AI to build a resilient, future-ready, and inclusive cooperative dairy ecosystem.
