We were honoured to welcome Shri Shankar Chaudhary, Hon’ble Speaker, Gujarat Legislative Assembly and Chairman, Banas Dairy, along with the newly elected Board of Directors of Banas Dairy, to the Bovine Breeding Center, the breeding farm of Amul Dairy at Mogar. Shri Shankarbhai Chaudhary ji was warmly received by Shri Vipul Patel, Chairman, Amul Dairy, and Dr. Amit Vyas, MD, Amul Dairy, along with senior officials. During his visit, hon’ble guest keenly observed various advanced interventions undertaken by Amul Dairy in the field of animal breeding and genetic development, and applauded MD and the team of Amul Dairy for their exemplary work. Shri Shankarbhai Chaudhary ji, visited the IVF laboratory and reviewed the Embryo Transfer (ET) process, offering valuable insights and a unique suggestion to explore new media for buffalo ET to enhance success rates. Shri Chaudhary ji expressed deep appreciation for the ongoing genetic improvement initiatives in Kankrej and Jersey cattle and discussed opportunities for collaborative research and breed development. He also conveyed his keen interest in working together for the development and conservation of the Kankrej breed, encouraging his team at Banas Dairy to visit and learn from the innovative breeding models at Mogar. The delegation also visited the Amul Dairy Plant and the State-of-the-Art Chocolate Plant, where they admired Amul’s remarkable journey, digitalization initiatives, and commitment to quality excellence. The guests appreciated the technological advancements, including live dashboards, online data systems, and automatic milk quality controls, and expressed delight over Amul’s innovative product range, including Amul Chocolates, Ketchup, Cakes, and Indian sweets.
