The event was graced by Shri Naresh Pal Gangwar, Secretary, Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying (AH&D), Government of India, along with leaders from across the cooperative and dairy sector. Representing Amul Dairy, both the Chairman and MD delivered inspiring addresses. Shri Vipulbhai Patel reflected on the historic ties between Amul and NDDB, noting that the Anand Model gave rise to NDDB and Operation Flood, transforming India into the world’s largest milk producer. He added that, “Meenesh bhai always acted as our own and not of any other organization,” acknowledging Dr. Meenesh C Shah’s work, which benefits farmers while elevating the reputation of NDDB and Amul Dairy nationally and globally. Dr. Amit Vyas recalled NDDB’s close association with Amul, highlighting its founding at the Amul Dairy campus in 1965 and its continued support until 1970. He emphasized NDDB’s technical and financial contributions to projects such as the TMR Station at Sarsa, IVF Lab at Mogar, BMF Scheme at Mogar, Semen Station strengthening, interest subvention schemes, EVP plant at Kanjari, GobarDhan project, vaccination programs, and NCDC cooperative development initiatives. Amul Dairy also gratefully received the first batch of IBR vaccine prepared by Indian Immunologicals Limited through NDDB. Dr. Vyas lauded the visionary leadership of Dr. Meenesh Shah, whose efforts are expanding cooperatives across over 2 lakh villages, strengthening India’s cooperative and dairy sector.
