Amul was privileged to host a landmark event chaired by Hon’ble Union Home and Cooperation Minister Shri Amit Shahji, in august presence of Hon’ble Chief Minister of Gujarat, Shri Bhupendra Patel, 4 Union Ministers, 3 Gujarat Ministers, Speaker and Dy. Speaker of Vidhan Sabha, MLAs and MPs of Gujarat, Board of different Milk Unions of Gujarat and Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (Amul), Chairman and MDs of different State Milk Federations of India, representatives from 20 states of Multi-state Cooperative, Officials from local administration, and about 7500 farmers from across Gujarat, representing strength of dairy Co-operative.

This historic event held at Amul Dairy, marked launch of game-changing initiatives that will define next phase of rural empowerment and cooperative expansion under the banner of 'Sahkar se Samriddhi'. The event marked announcement of key National Dairy Development Board projects, New office of National Cooperative Dairy Federation of India Limited and National Dairy Development Board, and Ready to use cultures at IDMC Limited.
Shri Amit Shah digitally inaugurated a range of new facilities enhancing Amul Dairy’s processing and value-addition capacities. These expansions include expansion of Chocolate plant at Mogar with 105 crore investment and state-of-art Cheese plant at Khatraj with 260 crore investment, with facilities include a fully automated UHT milk packaging line, and mozzarella cheese manufacturing line, underscoring Amul’s commitment to rural employment, processing at source, and global quality benchmarks in dairy innovation.
Shri Amit Shah also launched Sardar Patel Cooperative Dairy Federation Ltd. to unite 20,000 village-level milk societies across 20 States and 2 UTs. With ?200 crore capital, it aims to ensure fair milk procurement, input support, price parity, and a circular dairy economy, benefiting 56 lakh women in dairy farming nationwide. He also unveiled the newly formed cooperative in Kutch – the Kutch District Coastal Salt Producers and Sales Cooperative Society Ltd., ensuring fair pricing, uplift Agariya workers, and promote ethical, traceable salt production.
Shri Amit Shah outlined a bold vision for India’s cooperative future built on five P’s, plans for 2 lakh+ PACS, new cooperative university, and three national cooperatives, driving resurgence under PM Modi’s leadership. He highlighted that every new project reinforces Amul’s global cooperative leadership. By entering salt sector, a long-missing link in cooperative movement is now complete. He added that SPCDF will ensure fair procurement, price parity, and support a circular dairy economy. From empowering marginal dairy farmers and women entrepreneurs to reviving traditional salt livelihoods, Amul remains committed to building a Viksit Bharat @ 2047 through innovation, inclusion, and integrity.
