Ms. Jyoti Arora, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary, Cooperative Department, Govt. of Haryana visited Amul Dairy, Anand on April 9th 2019 for an exposure visit. She was accompanied by Shri. M Shayin, IAS, MD, Dairy Development Cooperative Federation Limited and other officials. She was briefed the functioning of Amul and its relevance for the development of rural sector in India. She also visited NDDB & GCMMF for better understanding of the Amul Model.

Impressions:

It was indeed a pleasure to visit the plant which has been part of History and Indian movement towards development. But much more important than the plant is the energy of the people managing it specially the MD, Mr. Amit Vyas. I think institutions are made by individuals but also nurturing is important where again individual matter even to preserve the cooperative spirit. Keep it up. All the best!
