Shri. Narendra Modi, Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, visited Tribhuvandas Patel Food Complex, Mogar to inaugurate Amul’s new ultra-modern chocolate factory on September 30th 2018. He was accompanied by Shri. Vijay Rupani, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Gujarat, Shri. Nitin Patel, Deputy Chief Minister of Gujarat and other delegates. Shri. Ramsinh Parmar, Chairman, GCMMF & Amul Dairy along with other Board members of Amul Dairy received the Prime Minister and other delegates. The Prime Minister inaugurated Amul’s new ultra-modern Chocolate plant, Take Home Ration (THR) plant & Ready-To-Use-Therapeutic Food (RUTF) plant. In his inaugural speech, calling the cooperative movement a stable third alternative to socialism and capitalism, Modi said, that Amul’s success was a big achievement. “It is not just a milk processing unit. It is an alternate economic model.” With the inauguration of these plants, the production capacity of chocolate plant will increase from 200 MT/month to over 1000 MT/month, the capacity of RUTF plant will increase from 180 MT/month to 600 MT/month and the production capacity of THR plant will be 600 MT/month.
