H.E. Rev. (Mr.) Harris Sithembile Majeke, High Commissioner of South Africa to India, Mr. Mvuyo Mhangwane, Councellor-Political and Ms. D. Rajeshwari, Secretary-Political visited Amul Dairy, Dairy Museum and GCMMF on Sep 27, 2011. The dignitaries were briefed on the history and development of Amul. They were amazed by the people’s involvement and the leadership and role of the cooperative in improving the quality of life of farmers. They also had discussions with Amul Officials.

Impressions:

This is quite an experience. This is a must to replicate in South Africa. This is the answer to address the poverty problems facing our communities. What a lesson to be learnt this from humble beginnings you can change the face of the world, the lives of the people for the better. This makes life very meaningful and is a dream. You need to dream and wake – up to realise your dream.
