Shri Siddeque Ahmad, Hon’ble Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Cooperation, Govt. of Assam visited Amul Dairy on Aug 11, 2011 accompanied by Shri V K Pipersenia, Principal Secretary, Cooperation and Shri V K Chaturvedi, Principal Secretary, Animal Husbandry, Govt. of Assam to know the success of Amul. They had discussions with Amul Officials and visited Amul Plant and Dairy Museum. They were quiet impressed with cooperative, the technology and the benefits it fetches to farmers.

It is a humbling experience to see how much Dr Kurien has contributed to the cooperative dairy sector in the country. My deep respect and regards to this great son of India.
