Dr. Ramesh Chand, Member, NITI Aayog, Government of India, New Delhi visited Amul Dairy, Anand on July 3rd 2017. He was received by Dr. K. Rathnam, MD, Amul Dairy & Shri. R.S. Sodhi, MD, GCMMF. He was briefed the functioning of Amul before taking for a plant visit. He was amazed seeing the tremendous work done at Amul for the upliftment of farmers. He praised the contribution of Amul towards women empowerment.

Impressions:

Amul is the most impressive example of power of cooperative. India ows its White Revolution to Amul. Its contribution in empowering women, landless and small farmers is recognized worldwide. I consider it as epitome of farmers transformation through institution of cooperatives. India needs replication of this success story in all other states and segments of Agriculture and Horticulture. I wish Amul to achieve even more height.
